Exam Format Deep Dive

AWS SAA-C03

The SAA-C03 gives you 65 questions in 130 minutes, which works out to exactly 2 minutes per question. Questions are either single-answer multiple choice or multiple-response (select 2 or 3 correct answers). There are no case studies or drag-and-drop questions.

Azure AZ-305

AZ-305 is unique because it requires you to have already passed AZ-104 (Azure Administrator). This means AZ-305 assumes a baseline of Azure operational knowledge and focuses entirely on design and architecture decisions.

The question count varies between 40 and 60, and the format includes standard multiple choice, case studies with multiple questions, drag-and-drop ordering, and hot area (select from a diagram) questions. GCP Professional Cloud Architect

The GCP PCA is widely considered the most difficult of the three. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions plus 2 case studies that you should review before the exam. Google publishes these case studies on their certification page, and they appear in the exam as reference material for several questions.

The case studies describe fictional companies (like Mountkirk Games, TerramEarth, and Dress4Win) with detailed technical requirements, business goals, and constraints.
